The annual 863 Project of special subjects declaration of Shanghai University came to a successful ending. In the guide of subjects declaration concerning 10 fields announced by department of science, professors and researchers of our university applied 64 subjects in 9 of the 10 fields, the largest quantity in recent years.8 subjects was applied in the field of biology and medicine technology, 7 in the field of resource and environment technology, 19 in the field of advanced manufacturing technology, 9 in the field of information technology, 12 in the field of new material technology, 1 in the field of earth observation and navigation technique, 5 in the field of advanced energy technology, 2 in the field of modern agricultural technology, and 2 in the field of marine technology. With the organization by each college and the good service of science and technology department, professors and researchers filled the application with great enthusiasm and modified the application with meticulosity and patience. All these embodied the growing consciousness of taking part in the national high-tech research and development project in our faculty.
