  Opening a gate to the international academic arena

         ——symposium on the publishing of Frontiers in China was held in our university

A vast number of experts and scholars are obsessed by the access to delivering papers on academic periodical with international influence. Published by higher education pushing company, Frontiers in China, which covers natural and social science, provided a new means for solving this problem.

On the morning of March.21th, the editor party of higher education pushing company in charge of Frontiers in China visited our university. The two sides conducted a symposium in the administration building.

Wu Xiang introduced the purpose of their visit. Then Ding Haijia made a detail demonstration on the development, mode and advantage of the Frontiers in China. They aimed at offering a clear understanding to the faculty of Shanghai University.

Frontiers in China started publishing in early 2006. It was started by ministry of education and published by higher education pushing company. Springer publishing company in Germany took charge of its overseas circulation. The periodical was divided by 27 sections, covering the orientation of 27 key disciplines in natural and social science. The papers selected were mainly from domestic university journey and monograph and translated into English, representing the cutting edge of the scientific level of China’s higher education college.

On the symposium, professors from our university made interactive communication with the editors on the principle of selecting papers and recognition of the periodical.

The publishing of Frontiers in China aimed at serving as a bridge for scientific and research exchanges between Chinese university and the world, reflecting the scientific and research level of domestic university in an all-round way and promoting scientific and research of college work, thus opening a gate for domestic scientific research person to the international academic arena.
