To further improve the construction of the youth leadership in high college, accelerate fostering large quantity of people of excellent and innovative talent and persistently strengthen the academic level and quality of people of high college, ministry of education has conducted the project of supporting excellent people of talent of the new century, the project which aims to making an innovative study on major national scientific technological and engineering problems. Dr Lu Xionggang and Song Rentao were another two young scholars following Di Qijie, Fei Minrui, An Weifu and Wu Minghong by 2007.

   The project is examined once a year in accordance with the concerned rules of project. Based on the principle of relying on experts, advocating democracy, alternative support, equality and rationality, our university will continue to recommend excellent people to the project, enhance tracing management and strict examination on financially supported professors and vigorously supported their teaching and research so as to promote the construction of the youth leadership in high college.
