After many contacts and long-time preparation, our university formally signed an agreement with Baoshan metal limited corporation on scientific and research cooperation between two sides on the afternoon of February the 8th. The signing ceremony was held in the VIP Hall of the international convention centre. Deputy manager Cui Jing, assistant manager Xie Wei and other directors of scientific and technological management department of Baogang shared company, as well as vice president Zhou Zhewei, assistant headmaster Di Qijie and other concerned leaders and experts of our university attended the signing ceremony. On the ceremony, vice manager Cui Jiang and vice president Zhou Zhewei delivered gracious address one after another, expressing their aspiration and confidence to strengthen cooperation with each other. Then they signed the agreement on behalf of their each side. After the ceremony, Zhou showed the guests around the campus.
   Recently, China’s iron and steel industry has developed rapidly, with its steel output ranking first in the world, thus bringing an unprecedented opportunity for the development of iron and steel metallurgy and other concerned subjects. Baogang Company was a large state owned iron and steel enterprise with a strong international influence. The signing of the agreement on scientific and research cooperation between two sides will facilitate the establishment of our concerned discipline. The cooperation will focus on dealing with concrete matters relating to work. The two sides draw up a guide for their cooperative item, which consists of three major sections.
