The party secretary of the university Yu Xinhui and deputy president Wang Ming attended the nomination ceremony. The minister of organization Xiong Lugang announced the nomination of Shi LIyi as the director of science and technology department on Sept.1st.

   The new director then thanked nomination of the party committee and expressed that he would work diligently and make breakthroughs during his term. Deputy principal Wang Ming emphasized that the followed research work should focus not only on quantity, but also on quality. The technological innovation should be advanced step by step. The party secretary of the university Yu Xinhui concluded that the work of the Science and technology department reflected the level of our university. Now our university was at critical phase. Systematization was our advantage. We should think how to do things better in a managerial light.

    On the first workday after coming to his office, director Shi Liyi held a meeting about the work in the near future. He asked all the deputy director to make clear the initiation and application of the scientific and research projects this year and trace the 863 applied projects. He also planed the preparation of materials of key subjects ,effective support on critical items, acceptance of new laboratory, investigation and research on liberal arts, and the preparation and construction of the Zhongde centre.
